4 years

Today is our four year Anniversary, I can't believe I've been married for four years sheesh!! Where did the time even go? I've been having so many flashbacks of our wedding day, I was so nervous the night before I slept for maybe an hour. The morning of the wedding I broke a nail so my mom ran to the store to get something to fix it and ran into the metal dumpster!! Her trunk was so damaged that we hard time getting my dress that happened to be in the back (which by the way the night before the seamstress got it mixed up with another order and got sent somewhere else so I barely got it in time which made me an hour late). I did end up getting it fortunately as you can see here.

The photographer ended up taking a lot of pictures so we ended up being another hour late to the luncheon, it was worth it though because I got beautiful ones like this one of my sisters and sister-in-laws. Jarrett had everyone rolling because in his speech he told everyone "this day is getting better and better and it's only going to get better tonight". He didn't mean it that way but it sounded hilarious! I'm sure my dad was wanting to kill him at that moment. And it was a perfect day, it was absolutely beautiful. I just remember how much I couldn't wait to rip that dress off and yank all those bobby pins out of my hair!

The next day we were off to Mexico and of course got pulled over and got a ticket. It's too bad Jarrett already washed the "Just Married" off the back of our car or maybe the cop would have believed we were in a hurry for the airport to our Honeymoon. Our honeymoon was absolutely one of my favorite memories, except for the fact that Jarre got stung by a stingray and had to go to Mexico ER. He was fine but I've never seen him so close to tears!!

This year for our four year Jarre took me to the Melting Pot, all I have to say is D-elicious! It was such a fun experience, I won't bore you with the details. It's just something that everyone must do, I especially loved the chocolate fondue it's heavenly and I'm not much of a chocolate person.

This day is extra special because exactly a year ago today we found out we were having a baby girl! I'll never forget the look on Jarrett's face, the look of "what am I supposed to do with a girl?" I of course was ecstatic, I wanted a girl so badly. Ella is such a daddy's girl now she's got him wrapped around her finger. I even heard him say that he wants another girl next kid, I was so surprised. Well happy four years, we have so many good/funny memories of May 19th!!

No Sleep

Yep, the title says it all, my sleep is depleting slowly every night. Why?? Teething. Teething, teething. TEETHING! Poor Ella I'm sure is in pain because she wines at night, it's pretty sad. Poor me is trying to comfort her while trying to stay awake at 4 A.M, nobody should be awake at this time. NOBODY. I've been pretty spoiled with her sleeping schedule so far so I guess I must pay my dues. And last night she did pretty good with the baby Tylenol but I'm very adamant on giving her drugs, I don't want to over drug the poor baby. I've been told to give her cold foods, special tablets, and gummy rings. I just hope she gets more comfortable soon!!!

So yesterday I decided to get going on my garden, my peas are popping up and thought it would be a good day, well the first half was anyway. I got all my tomatoes, potatoes, squash, zucchini and cucumbers all planted and the next thing I know it was hailing. Hopefully my hard work hasn't gone to waste!!

6 months

My little baby is not so little anymore, she is now six months. I can't believe how fast the time has gone, (I know every parent says that but it's so true). She turned six months on Wednesday and I couldn't stop thinking that in a blink of an eye she will be a year old. If I could stop time in my life I honestly would, I am loving the stage in my life right now and I wouldn't change a thing.
We just got back from the Doctor and the dreaded shots, which she barely cried and was laughing on our way out! The nurses couldn't get over how good she did especially after having 4 shots. Well she is in the 11% for weight 41% for height and 34% for head. She's still just a little one but the doctor says that she's perfectly healthy and that babies come in all shapes and sizes. She's always been on the small side so it's perfectly normal. She surprisingly still fits into 0-3 and 3-6 month old clothing, it is so nice that she hasn't outgrown much of her clothes yet.

What a week!

So this past week has been a crazy one. My friend BreAnna and I had a booth at the What A Woman Wants Expo last Friday and Saturday. It was a lot of work getting everything together, we sold headbands for all ages and baby stuff and little girl stuff. I was so stressed out that entire week that nothing would be ready but surprisingly it all got done and turned out great! Bre and I decided that these expos and craft fairs aren't for us, too much time and work for the end result, but we both have no regrets. It was so much fun, sigh, I will miss it. Sometimes we would work really late and go a little insane. We also met a lot of pretty interesting people at the show, including the booth right next to us, they were palm and taro card readers. It was pretty interesting when they read our cards, well that's another story, lol. I didn't take any pictures of the expo with all the chaos but here's some things we sold.

The best part of the Expo was trading, I got some really cute stuff!

Ella spent a lot of time at the show, my in laws and sisters were kind enough to spend some time at the Expo so that way I could spend more time with my little girl. She got a lot of attention and was good advertising for our baby bands, every time she wore a band that style would sell out! She is rolling and giggling now and trying to scoot. She has her ears pierced, we did it on Danielle's Birthday so it had some meaning behind it. She barely cried and was fine the rest of the day, they look so cute on her.

She's starting to eat solids and it is so funny to see the faces she pulls at the different textures, but the diapers are stinkier! I had to include a pic of Ella and Jamie, don't they look comfy?

She loves her jumper, she will actually let out a little scream because she's so excited!

Well it's off to new projects now, I'm doing yard work and a few other projects, time for something new!

Someone's been a little neglected

Here's a post about someone who has been a little neglected the past six months. Poor Maggie who was my baby hasn't had quite the attention she used to. Jarre and I would fight over who got her sometimes (even though she would usually always choose me).

She is seriously the best dog. She never has a problem with going potty in the house (well on extremely rare occasions when she hasn't been out for hours and hours). I never worry about letting her out because she just lets me know by sitting pretty or the stick-em-up pose. She doesn't really whine and is still so playful, but not in an annoying way. She even puts up with Ella pulling her hair, and doesn't nip at her. My biggest complaint is her barking at the door, but it does make me feel a little safer because I know when someone is coming, it is her way of protecting us. I love it when we go for walks because she prefers to be carried, I think it's so funny that she is such a princess. And at 3 pounds it's no big deal to me.

Maggie turns 4 this Friday and I can't believe how the time has flown by. She was born on Easter Sunday 4 years ago and it blows my mind. We have taken this dog everywhere, literally. When she was a puppy we would just put her in a dog purse and go to restaurants, the zoo, a REAL soccer game, boating, etc. Nobody even knew she was there.

Here's Maggie with fatty patty (a puppy from her mom's 2nd litter) We had Maggie fixed when she was 3 months old because she was too tiny to have puppies. She gets along really well with other dogs, especially fatty, she was so motherly to her.

She is the cuddliest dog ever, she is such a lap dog. I can't believe how much she sleeps, but she is always ready to play when Jarre comes home with her toy ready because they love to play together.

We always take Maggie boating with us and she likes it. Sometimes it's really windy and she likes to go under a towel but she's really good on the boat. Jarre loves to put her in water and watch her swim, she panics a little but she's a good swimmer (I think most dogs are).
So happy Birthday Maggie (even though I'm not excited you're 32 in people years, it makes me sad that you're already older then me). I promise I'll make more time just for you!
I know it might be weird to you if you're not a dog lover like me to see a post about a dog like this, but that's fine. If you had a dog like Maggie you'd understand completely:)

Easter

Happy Easter! I had so much fun playing the Easter Bunny, it was really easy this year ha ha. We spent it in Delta and had an adult Easter egg hunt in the dark that was a blast!! I ate way too much good food cooked by Linda, yum. But most important Ella got spoiled with lots of spring outfits, books, CD player for her room and toys mostly from grandparents. Here are some pics of the fun we had.

If anyone would like some free tickets to the Women's Day Expo just let me know. I have at a bunch of them that I will mail out to you it's April 16th and 17th at the South Towne Expo Center. Me and my friend BreAnna have a table there where we have adult, child and baby headbands and bows along with many other things, so come say hi to us it would be fun to see a familiar face!!!

Happy Birthday Danielle

Ok, so much has been going on lately I have been so busy but I thought I would take some time for a post for such an important girl. Happy birthday to my Sister in law Danielle. She passed away two and a half years ago in a tragic boating accident that completely shook our lives upside down. This is a very hard thing to talk about because I can't without getting all chocked up, but I just wanted you to know the kind of person she was and what she meant to all of her friends and family, she was a special girl. First of all she adored her family and they were everything to her, she talked to her mom about everyday on the phone she adored her dad and looked up to her older brothers and looked out for her younger brother and sister. She was the middle child and was like the glue holding the family together. She just loved going to Delta to hang out with her parents and Jordon and Hayley. She was an A student and was studying to be a Dental Hygienist, she would have been wonderful she was SO smart. She loved clothes and was so good at putting things together, my fashion has suffered terribly without her help.
The first time I met Danielle she had just got back from Lake Powell and honestly my first reaction was how stunning she was and she wasn't even wearing an ounce of make-up. She also had such a long slender frame I was so intimidated by her, but that didn't last long. She made me feel like I was one of the family right away and we got along immediately. Danielle had a way of making you feel comfortable around her as she was not a judgemental person, she had all kinds of friends from all across the board. But she herself had strong morals and standards that were such a good example to everyone around her. She was truly a sweetheart and had a soft spot for anyone in need. You would not believe the amount of people that showed up to her funeral, it was unbelievable the lives she touched.
I just can't express how much I miss her, I can't help but think what my life would be like if she were still in it. But really I just have to sit back and remember that she is still an HUGE part of my life and I think about her daily. It is now up to me and Jarrett to preserve our memories of her and pass them along to our Ella. She must know about Danielle and be an example to her even if she can't be here it is up to us. I feel like Danielle has been around me much more now that I have Ella, she is guiding me through everyday tasks and I don't know if I could do it without her. I am so proud to have my daughter named after her.
Danielle we love you so much Happy Birthday I can't believe 23 is already here! You have so many people thinking about you on this day and you are so loved. Thank you for your example and I just hope my daughter turns out like you one day. Please look out for us and know there's a special place for you in our hearts, we will never forget you.
